a webmaster in the USA, who had a dream. She wanted a web site, which was a bit different from those, which she worked on everyday. She started to search on the internet for some other enthusiastic people, who would help her make her dream come true. She found them and soon afterwards her dream turned into the dream of a group of friends.On June 14, 1999, after 3 months of hard work, the site was ready to go.

made its debut. Since then our lives are never boring or normal again. Every day brings us new experiences, new problems, requires new decisions and, most important - it is fun.The site, which originally had a size of 30 MB, became much larger a long time ago. Some weeks ago, when we thought back on a one year's occupation, our site had expanded to some hundred MB. Not only our team, but also a large group of enthusiastic volunteers, are now busy expanding and improving JCarreras.com in order to make the site even more interesting and nice.
I was with some of our team members in Barcelona while our web site was celebrating it's first anniversary. Though we had already exchanged countless emails, it was our first personal meeting. We attended some performances of the opera "Sly" by Wolf-Ferrari and had the pleasure to meet the leading actor of the opera and our web site, José Carreras, personally.
